Kim Kardashian sues fast fashion business over fake outfits

Kim Kardashian puts her money where her mouth is.

Less than two weeks after the reality TV star, 38, called out fast fashion label Missguided for replicating a gold dress designed by husband Kanye West, she is suing the company.

According to TMZ, Kardashian is suing the company for using her name and image without permission to advertise her own designs, which appear almost identical to her originals.

The documents reportedly included several instances in which Missguided used photos of the reality TV star to promote her own versions of her outfits, tagged her on social media and hinted that she worked with the company, which that she denied.

These cheaper versions of Kardashian’s designer clothes often go live within 24 hours, although they aren’t made until a later date, when pre-sale email addresses and payment have been collected. .

Kardashian has asked the judge to file an injunction to prevent Missguided from using her photographs and is seeking damages in excess of $ 10 million.

More recently, the beauty mogul has taken on Fashion Nova for the same tactic. Some have hinted that she might even work with the company to disclose her looks before wearing them to earn commissions from retailers. Kardashian has categorically denied any connection, however, as has Fashion Nova, and the company no longer uses its name or image to promote its products.

Despite Kardashian’s very public feud with companies like Missguided and Fashion Nova, her family is still on those brands’ payrolls. Kylie and Kris Jenner regularly post paid ads for Fashion Nova on Instagram, and Kourtney Kardashian has even designed a collection for a similar company, Pretty Little Thing, in the past.

On Wednesday night, Khloé Kardashian even attended a Pretty Little Thing event, on her first public outing since news broke that the star’s boyfriend, Tristan Thompson, had met Kylie’s best friend, Jordyn Woods.
